Frequently Asked Question

Windows: ITVDesk stopped working - Fault Module Name vrfcore.dll
Last Updated 22 days ago

vrfcore.dll is related to Microsoft Application Verifier. If Application Verifier is enabled for ITVDesk or inherited from a test/debug environment, it can cause ITVDesk to stop unexpectedly.

This is normally a Windows diagnostic configuration issue, not a licensing or ITVDesk account problem.

ITVDesk service status
After changing Windows diagnostic settings, restart ITVDesk and verify service status.

Recommended fix

  • Check whether Microsoft Application Verifier is installed or configured on the computer.
  • Remove ITVDesk from Application Verifier tests if it was added there.
  • Do not delete unrelated registry keys or system files.
  • Restart Windows after changing verifier settings.
  • Start ITVDesk again and verify logs.

If the problem continues

  • Install the latest ITVDesk version.
  • Check Windows updates and runtime components.
  • Send ITVDesk logs and the Windows crash report to support.

Safety note

  • Registry changes should be performed only by an administrator who understands Windows diagnostic tools.
